Elgiloy

Elgiloy material is a “super-alloy” material used where applications demand corrosion resistance. Eligiloy materials exhibit high strength, ductility, and good fatigue life. Material is readily available in thicknesses from 0.0015″ up to 0.0075″, and can meet AMS 5833; AMS 5834; ASTM F-1058; AMS 5875; and AMS 5876.
We offer Elgiloy shims and precision stampings in a wide range of temper, cold-reduction, and alloy grades. We stock a broad spectrum of grades, types and tempers for your custom fabrication needs. All materials are available with full chemical and physical test reports right from the mill, providing melt and heat/lot data. Need DFARS-compliant material? We offer that too!

Benefits of Elgiloy

Elgiloy is known for its excellent resistance to corrosive environments, elevated temperature resistance and high strength. Elgiloy exhibits no-magnetism, and offers a good solution accompanied by mechanical properties similar to high carbon spring steel (music wire). The mechanical properties are often superior to stainless steel and other nickel alloys. There are arguments that in some (medical) applications, Elgiloy can be used in lieu of titanium and offers several advantages versus titanium.
