Aluminum

Aluminum is available in extremely accurate thickness ranges and various tempers.  Conductive, lightweight and lustrous in appearance, aluminum is commonly alloyed with other metals for increased strength and adaptability. Aluminum is also ideal for food and pharmaceutical applications, since it does not release taste or toxins during packaging.

Die-Cut Products produces aluminum gaskets, shims, and precision stamping in thicknesses ranging from 0.001″ up to 0.250″ in the following grades:

  • 1100 aluminum
  • 2024 aluminum
  • 3003 aluminum
  • 5052 aluminum
  • 6061 aluminum
  • 7075 aluminum

We stock a broad spectrum of aluminum grades, types and tempers for your custom fabrication needs.  All materials are available with full chemical and physical test reports right from the mill, providing melt and heat/lot data.  Need DFARS-compliant material?  We offer that too!

Benefits of Aluminum

A key benefit of using aluminum is that it is a comparatively soft metal which lends itself to remarkable formability.  Aluminum is lightweight, and has a high strength to weight ratio, and it is also non-toxic and corrosion resistant.  Aluminum can be anodized to strengthen its corrosion resistance, create a harder surface, and provide a decorative finish when appearance is necessary.  Aluminum is non-magnetic, and provides good thermal and electrical conductivity.

Die-Cut Products stocks a variety of aluminum grades and tempers, such as H12, H14, H19, T2, T4, and many others.  If you have a specialty need for a grade or temper aluminum not listed here please let us know, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
