ITW Formex, ITW Formex GK, and ITW Statex materials are used in order to comply with UL, CSA, IEC, VDE, TUV, BSR or MITI standards when there is a need for electrical insulators and barriers. This unique product line has successfully replaced a variety of flame retardant sheet materials including polycarbonate, polyester, PVC and aramid papers.
Formex GK materials are available from 0.005″ to 0.062″ thick (0.127 to 1.57 mm). They offer superior dielectric strength and can withstand continuous use temperature to 115-C.
Statex materials are offered in a range from 0.010″ to 0.031″ thick (0.25 to 0.79 mm). As the name implies, Statex provides static dissipative ESD protection, while working in environments that require continuous use temperatures up to 110-C.
Standard ITW Formex materials can be provided up to 0.125 inch thick (3.18 mm).
