Acrylic Thermoplastic

Acrylic (Polymethyl-Methacrylate or PMMA) is an amorphous thermoplastic which is optically transparent, unaffected by moisture, and offers a high strength-to-weight ratio. Common trade names of acrylic include Plexiglas®, Lucite®, and Acrylite®.

Typical thickness ranges for acrylic thermoplastic are from 0.030″ thick up to 6.0″ thick

We offer parts produced from various acrylic sheet stock, such as: clear acrylic sheet, colored acrylic sheet, opaque acrylic sheet, translucent acrylic sheet, transparent acrylic sheet, fluorescent acrylic sheet, acrylic mirror sheet, acrylic textured surface pattern sheet, and acrylic abrasion-resistant sheeting.

Benefits of Acrylic Thermoplastic

Acrylic is a transparent thermoplastic with outstanding strength, stiffness, and optical clarity. Acrylic sheet is easy to fabricate, bonds well with adhesives and solvents, and is easy to thermoform. Acrylic is widely used for architectural glazing, indoor and outdoor signs, retail store fixtures, and point-of-purchase displays.

It is optically clear, extremely strong and stiff, and easy to fabricate from. It responds well to solvent bonds, and is available in both UV resistant and impact resistant grades.
